The goal of this early
valuable early literacy program is to encourage young readers by
developing pre-emergent reading skills through
phonemic awareness and whole language learning techniques.
“You haven’t a clue what do we do, when we get together?
I must say, It seems like play. It’s learning… only better!”
Our Book-In-The-Box Club curriculum was
developed and will be taught by Miss Connie. During our story hour,
Miss Connie will help us to bring each book to life, utilizing our
whole body and all of our senses. Through lighting, sounds, music,
dance, puppets, drama, and storytelling, we will explore a different
title each week. This program was designed for children ages 2-5. Stop

Our class schedule will go something like this:

something each week from your house to use or share
• Need to read…
creative story time, drama, fingerplays
• Think Twice - Good advice…
taking a second look at the lessons we've learned
• Can’t wait to Create
story related craft time
• Dance and Prance…
singing, instruments, rhythmic movement and dance
• Snap Wrap…
review our time together
*Parent or caregiver must attend this program with child.
